Girl Scouts / Boy Scouts Riding Programs
Southern Tier Stables is proud to be an approved riding facility for Girl Scouts of NY Penn Pathways. Whether you’re looking to earn your horsemanship badge, ride, camp in our campgrounds, or just plan a fun troop outing, we have the perfect program for you.
We offer a variety of programs designed to meet the needs of your troop:
- Horsemanship Badge Earning: Our instructors can guide your scouts through the fundamentals of horse care and riding, helping them achieve their horsemanship badge goals.
- Trail Rides and Campout Adventures: Embark on a scenic trail ride followed by an overnight camping experience in our peaceful grounds.
- Educational Activities: Learn about horse breeds, stable management, and responsible pet ownership through interactive sessions.

Youth Riding Summer Camps

Summer Camp Sessions
Looking for a thrilling and enriching summer experience for your child? Look no further than Southern Tier Stables’ Summer Horse Camp! This year, we offer two exciting week-long day camp sessions per summer.
Camp Activities
Our day camp offers a comprehensive equestrian experience along with a variety of fun and engaging activities:
- Morning Ride: Start the day with a riding lesson and practice.
- Nature Walk/Scavenger Hunt: Explore the beautiful surroundings and discover nature’s treasures.
- Trip to Fillmore Glen State Park: Enjoy a day trip to one of the region’s most scenic parks.

- Ice Cream Parlor Visit: End the day with a sweet treat at a local ice cream parlor.
